Cookie Policy

What we actually use
usort keeps you signed in using your browser's local storage, not cookies. When you sign in, we store your session token in local storage on your device; your browser sends it back to us with each request so you don't have to sign in again on every page. We also use local storage to remember your light/dark theme choice.
Local storage isn't a cookie — it isn't automatically sent to our servers with every request the way a cookie is, it isn't accessible to other websites, and it's cleared if you clear your browser's site data. We're mentioning it here anyway because it serves a similar purpose (keeping you signed in) and we want this page to be a complete, honest picture of what your browser stores on our behalf, not just a technical cookie definition.
What we don't use
- No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics or tracking cookies (we don't run Google Analytics or similar scripts on usort today).
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
Cookies set by links you visit
If you click a usort short link, the destination website you land on may set its own cookies — that's between you and that website, and outside our control. This policy only covers usort itself.
If this changes
If we ever introduce cookies — for example, for a future analytics or payments integration — we'll update this page first and, where required, ask for your consent via a cookie banner before setting anything non-essential.
